A Health Study is being conducted in Upper Lake Melville to explore links between Inuit diet and mercury exposure.
Darryl Shiwak is the Minster responsible for Lands and Natural Resources for the Nunatsiavut Government.
Shiwak says they have 18 surveyors interviewing beneficiaries to generate baseline information on methyl mercury exposure and concentrations in country food.
Shiwak says that the survey will be completed in October.
