The Nunatsiavut Elections Officer advises that Ms. Charlotte Lucy-Piercy has withdrawn as a candidate for the 2018 election for Ordinary Member for the constituency of Hopedale.
As the ballots for the election have already been prepared, Ms. Lucy-Piercy’s name will still appear on the ballots.
In accordance with section 36 of the Nunatsiavut Elections Act, the Retuning Officer for Hopedale will ensure that notices of Ms. Lucy-Piercy’s withdrawal are posted in each polling station, and will advise each voter when receiving their ballots on voting day that Ms. Lucy-Piercy is no longer a candidate.
