The Nunatsiavut Government Department of Health and Social Development are in partnership with the Memorial University Faculty of Medicine to learn more about the TB issue in Nain and Hopedale.
Due to the TB outbreak in 2018 they are focusing on residents of Nain and Hopedale.
We spoke with Megan Hudson the TB Public Health Nurse in Nain.
She says there is a TB Research study going on in both communities.
The TB sharing circle is scheduled for tonight here in Nain at the DHSD building starting at 6:30pm.
But, due to poor weather, this sharing circle may have to be postponed if the flights don’t get to Nain.
They are looking for community members to take part in this TB sharing circle.
Snacks and food will be available and participants who attend will receive a Gift Certificate.
