A 10 day Moose hide workshop took place last weekend near Nain.
Leaders from the Dene Nahjo organization came together in partnership with the Nunatsiavut Government to hold this workshop to beneficiaries.
Brianna Brown was the Moose Hide Workshop Coordinator and Melaw Nakeh’ko one of the founding members of the Dene Nahjo.
This was an experience of a lifetime, to engage in learning how to clean and tan moose hide.
Participants had the opportunity to experience cultural exchange between two indigenous cultures.
