The First Light Friendship Centre in St. John’s is busy this month with Christmas events.
We spoke with Janelle Duval, who is the Program Coordinator for the centre, as well as Pat Ford, who is originally from Nain and now lives in St. John’s.
Duval says this past Sunday; they held a Christmas party with over 200 people, 77 children, and beneficiaries that attended as well.
She says they also offer different programs.
Ford says they will have a Candle Light Service on December 24th at the St. Mary’s Church at 2 pm. .
She says this tradition was started by late Reverend Bridgett Schloss.
