Yesterday it was announced that NL has 2 new cases, 1 Eastern Health and 1 in Central Health.
228 total cases in NL (217 EH, 6 LGH, 4 CH, 1 WH) *Cases are total cases since the beginning and not just the active cases. You would need to subtract the recovered case number to get the total active cases.
The demographic breakdown is 54% female, 46% male
By age, we have 20 people under the age of 20, 34 between 20-39, 33 between 40-49, 50 between 50-59, 48 between 60-69, and 43 who are 70 or above.
7 people are in hospital and 2 of these patients are in an intensive care unit (ICU)
49 people have now recovered (44 in EH, 3 in LGH, 1 in CH, 1 in WH)
3,958 people have been tested so far.
Sadly, two people have died from COVID-19 in NL.
Please reconsider traveling to visit loved ones next weekend for Easter and try to get together virtually. Try to limit your interaction with other people wherever possible.
