New COVID-19 Case Causing Concern (VOCM)

Some people in a remote part of Central Newfoundland fear they may have come into a contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19.

In yesterday’s COVID-19 update, Public Health identified one new case, saying only that the person was a man who resides in Central Newfoundland tested positive after returning from work in Alberta.

Fogo Mayor Wayne Collins says a group of teenagers who returned on the Ferry last evening were in an area of central where they came into contact with a man who had just returned from Alberta.

Mayor Collins says people on the Island should be very cautious. He says they as parents are concerned that their children may become infected.
