Ethel Pijogge Labrathon Results

The Ethel Pijogge Memorial Heritage Festival Labrathon event went ahead Monday, April 26th at 4pm.

We contacted Suki Aggek from Hopedale.

A total of 2 teams entered, two males and two females.

One 12 years and under child, 2 ages 13-49, and 1 aged 50 years and up also entered the Labrathon.

Both teams had to put a hole in the ice with a chisel(dOk), they had to light a fire and boil the kettle and had to log a sign and set a trap the fastest.

Francis Abel, Georgia Abel, Christopher Abel, and Suki Aggek came in first place of 16 minutes and 18 seconds.

Keisha Hunter, Chad Nochasak, Richard Harris, and Matilda Nochasak came in second place with a time of 28 minutes.

The first-place prized winners split $1000 cash.

The second-place prized winners split $600 cash.

Because there was no 3rd team, they added the amounts up for 2 prized winners.

The Labrathon was the last event for the Ethel Pijogge Heritage Memorial Festival.
