The Nunatsiavut Government, Provincial Department of Fisheries & Land Resources & Environment, and also the Climate Change Canada are working closely together on the Avian Bird flu.
As of March 3rd, 2022, the H.A.P.I bird flu have been confirmed in wild birds in Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island.
This influenza virus is contagious to humans, on rare occasions could cause diseases to humans. Careful cleaning of hands, clothing, and equipment are asked to be practiced to prevent the spread of the flu.
