The provinces Mental Health Line is being moved to 811 immediately.
Those who are in of crisis response for mental health and addictions support can now call 811, day or night, to speak with a registered nurse trained in intervention.
The province says the change allows residents a 3- digit number already well known and easy to recall when needed.
Residents who call the existing Mental Health Crisis Line will be automatically transferred to 811 during the transition, but are encouraged to call 811 directly.
