Freight acceptance to the north coast has now started in Happy Valley-Goose Bay yesterday, May 29, 2023.
We spoke with Dave Layton, the Operations Manager with Labrador Marine Inc.
He says reservations are open for booking now since May 1, 2023.
The first departure is out of Goose Bay, for ports to Nain on Sunday, June 11, 2023.
Layton says ice conditions permitting.
The HVGB freight office hours or operations is from Monday to Wednesday 8am to 5pm, Thursday 8am to 7pm and on Friday’s from 8am to 5pm, then on Saturdays 8am to 10 am.
Local individual shipments only, no commercial shipments will be accepted.
Freight will only be accepted within these hours.
Freight shipped this late is not guaranteed, see freight policy and procedures.
Freight will be loaded in order of date received and correct port order and closed on Sunday.
