Deirdre Elliot is the Heritage Program Coordinator in the Archology and Heritage Unit with the Nunatsiavut Government.
Elliot has been travelling to Rigolet for a few years now, and at her site at Double Mire Point in Rigolet, she found a complete Ulu.
Elliot says she thinks the Ulu is dated back to the 1700s and that it’s pretty rare to find all of the ulu intact.
