On September 17, we continue the annual Terry Fox Run surrounded
by messages of love, hope and inspiration from Canadians everywhere.

Lisa Ivany is the Recreation Director for the Nain Inuit Community Government. She says that, in Nain the annual Terry Fox run will begin at the Jeremias Sillitt Community Center to over across and to the Nain dump and then back to the JS Center.

Ivany says that this year, they will give away red t-shirts in commemoration of cancer survivors.

She adds that if you’d like to register or make a pledge, you can Visit the Terry Fox website and go to NL, you’ll find your respective community.

In Makkovik, Kim Andersen is the Team Leader for DHSD and the Coordinator for the Terry Fox Run.

Andersen says that they will start at the DHSD Building, and that anyone can make their own routes whether they walk or run.

The event starts at 1:30 to 3:30, she adds that there will be Terry Fox T-shirts to give away, and a pair of sneakers.

A donation jar and pledge sheets will be available for anyone.
