In Nain, the Department of Health and Social Development has planned the World Suicide Prevention Day for today, September 14, 2023.
Elsie Russell is the Mental Health and Addictions Worker.
Starting today at 5pm there will be a World Suicide Prevention Walk beginning at the DHSD building, they will start off with an opening/prayer.
They will than return to the DHSD building for some soup and sandwiches along with prizes to be won.
Please wear your previous years T-shirts as they have no T-shirts to give away. There is also fanny packs and gloves to be given away to participants for the walk.
At 8pm there will be the flame of hope, please bring your candle on your window cell to remember their smile, remember their happy memories, remember the kindness, and remember in moving forward.
