The IPN program offers support and assistance to Indigenous/clients who are referred to St. Johns NL for medical treatments.

The support and services that are provided for Eastern health care providers are.
– Navigation to appointments.
-Arranging interpretative services for Inuit.
-Assistance to access meals, transportation, accommodations, medical supplies and discharge planning.
-Liaising with internal and external agencies.
– Education and information sharing.

There is a link between Indigenous communities & Eastern health that IPN provides; you can contact the Senior Indigenous Patient Navigator Ashley Dicker at her office from Monday to Friday at 8am-4pm.

For ground transportation in St. Johns
To call for pick up on arrival, you can call First Light @1709-749-1894 which is open 24/7. If first Light fails to come to get you at the airport they will authorize a taxi for you. But If you choose to travel in a taxi to your accommodations that isn’t arranged by First Light you will not be reimbursed for it.

Please be ensured to have a valid ID prior to travelling, and to inform of any changes to your travel planes or medical appointments.

If there is a weather advisory issued DO NOT TRAVEL. If a weather advisory occurs you are asked to please contact Ashley Dicker or Solomon Semigak ASAP so it can either cancel or rebook your travel and accommodations.
