OKâlaKatiget Society is celebrating its 41st Anniversary

OKâlaKatiget Society is celebrating its 41st Anniversary today.

There have been a lot of changes in radio and television work, staff, and equipment in 41 years.

The OKâlaKatiget Society had many different addresses over the years until they moved into their new building in 2008.

Starting out as trainees in the basement of the Paivitsiak daycare to eventually, buying a section of the old school for the TV dept., while Radio was stationed in the old Boarding School.

When the old school burnt in 2005 television and administration moved into the already cramped quarters of the old boarding school with Radio.

Where they spent the next two and a half years while working on the construction of their new building.

On August 2014 the OKâlaKatiget Society radio station was no longer being broadcast on AM station and in ULM the AM transmitter was officially turned off in July of 2016.

OK Society is available live web streaming since December 2014 at www.oksocietyradio.com.
