As Christmas is just a week away, the communities along the coast are very busy with their events, and here is the list:
The DHSD here in Nain will be holding a Holiday Window Decorating Contest on December 19th and judging will be at 6pm.
1st place will win $150 Gift Certificate, 2nd place $100, and 3rd will get a $75 Gift Certificate.

The Nain Jens Haven Memorial School concert will be going ahead with their Christmas Concert tomorrow, December 18th.
The Grades K-3 student’s concert will be starting at 1:30pm and the Grades 4-12 students will be starting at 7pm.
There will be a box at the entrance of the concert for donations of non-perishable food items for the TaKuaKautik, Nain’s Food Bank.
In Hopedale, the UjagaKutik Recreation/CYN will be holding their last Ugly Sweater Contest for ages 6-12 at the Nanuk Centre this evening 6-8pm.
Yummy snacks and great prizes will be provided.
They will also be holding a Best Decorated House Contest at 4pm as well as the Annual Christmas Bingo on December 19th at 7pm, and will then announce the winners for the Best Decorated House Contest.
In Postville, there will be a Ladies Christmas Baking Night tonight from 6-8pm at the Recreation Hall.

The ladies that are a part of the Cross Stitch Group will be having a Potluck Supper on December 21st from 5-7pm at the Multi-Purpose Room.
