It’s that time of the season where some stores start getting low on some groceries and other items.
We contacted three of the north coast community stores to find out more about their store’s supplies.
Don Oliver is the Manager of the Northern Store in Rigolet.
He says the town was low on soft drinks, but the first boat, MV Northern Ranger, arrived yesterday, and they received 17 pallets this first trip.
In Makkovik, Carol Dyson is the Manager of Labrador Investments.
She says they are out of a lot of juice, low on cereal, toilet paper and are out of laundry detergent and soft drinks.
Wayne Piercy is the Assistant Manager of the Labrador Investments store in Hopedale.
He says the store is getting low on some groceries, like biscuits and cookies and drinks.
Piercy says they have not had any meats in for the last 3 weeks, and he hopes to get new frozen meats on the freight boat whenever she gets in their town.
