The Sofina Foods Inc is recalling the 1.5 kg packages of nuggets due to possible salmonella contamination.
The product, which was sold nationally, except for Quebec, should be returned to the store where purchased or disposed of safely.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency advises that young children, pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems may contract serious, possibly sometimes deadly infections.
Healthy people could experience short-term symptoms such as fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea. Long-term complications could include severe arthritis.
