Yesterday we aired day 4 of the Makkovik’s 34th Annual Trout Festival.
Today, Wednesday, August 9 is Day 5 for the Trout Festival. At 2-3pm there is rock painting at the arena for all ages.
6pm there is a crib doubles tournament at the community hall for ages 19+ with a $20 registration fee.
On Thursday morning, August 10, is day 6 of the Trout Festival, starting 10am they have a track and field outside the arena.
Events are standing long jump, ball throw, and sprint. Ages 5 and under will do 10-meter sprints, ages 6-9 will do 15-meter sprints, ages 10-13 will do 20-meter sprints, and ages 14-17 will do 50-meter sprints.
All participants names will be entered into a draw. At 10am-12pm they will have a museum open house and storytelling.
At 1-2pm they will have a plant walk and rock drop through Poet’s Path starting at Christine’s and ending at the church grounds with Erica MacDonald for all ages.
From 1:30-3pm they will hold their senior’s merchandise bingo at the community hall, you must bring an item to go with the game.
