The Nunatsiavut Government Assembly Sitting started this morning in Hopedale.
Day one started with statements from each of the Minister’s Departments, and the AngajukKat Departments in each town.
Oral questions arose from each department with issues about housing, an Update on the George River caribou herd and underground mining with Vale.
Travelling allowance for beneficiaries travelling out of their own home towns for hospital were also brought up for discussions.
The morning ended for lunch break at 12 and will commence at 1pm.
