Social Determinants On Inuit Health

A comprehensive report has been released by Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami on Social Determinants of Inuit Health.

According to a news release it states that Inuit experience comparatively lower life expectancies, high rates of infant mortality and the highest suicide rates of any population group in the country.

According to the release this is a report that has been designed to support public health activities across the Inuit regions in Canada.

The report includes key social determinants of health on: quality of early childhood development, culture and language, livelihoods, income distribution, housing, personal safety and security, education, and food security.

And also availability of health services, mental health and environment.
