North Coast Gas Freeze

The prices of gasoline, stove oil and diesel oil are now frozen in Northern Labrador communities.

November marks the annual freeze on fuel prices.

Reg Coombs is the Coastal Manager at Woodward’s Oil Limited in Happy Valley Goose Bay.

He says the Public Utilities Board (PUB) decided that November 13 was the day of the price freeze in the Labrador Zone.

Here are the prices for the winter season:

Gasoline is $1.49 per litre.

Stove oil is now $1.37.15 per litre.

And the cost of diesel is $ 1.55 per litre.

According to PUB, the changes to maximum fuel prices are as follows:

All types of gasoline motor fuel will decrease by up to 2.1 cents per litre.

Diesel motor fuel will decrease by up to 3.3 cents per litre;

Furnace oil heating fuel will decrease by 1.74 cents per litre;

Stove oil heating fuel will decrease by 2.94 cents per litre.

And propane heating fuel will decrease by 1.2 cents per litre.
