New Website Features Nunatsiavut Tourism Destinations

The Nunatsiavut Government’s Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism has launched a new website just in time for the tourism season.

Kristy Sheppard is the Director of Tourism.

She says torngatbasecamp.com was launched in May.

The goal of the website is to promote tourism destinations within Nunatsiavut.

The site contains sections dedicated to the tourist destinations in the region.

There is a section that details all of what the Torngat Mountains National Park has to offer.

People planning to visit the park can even view the travel packages available through the Labrador Inuit Development Corporation.

Each of the Nunatsiavut communities is featured on the website as well.

Sheppard says the site is a work in progress.

Tourism Nunatsiavut is planning on expanding the features available on the site in the future.

You can visit www.torngatbasecamp.com to see all of what the website has to offer.

Wow, nice to see the tourism industry of the Nunatsiavut Government taking that next big step! Welcome tourists to what is truly Nunatsiavut (Our Beautiful Land), come and enjoy what very few have ever seen in their lives. That even includes many of our Inuit in Nunatsiavut or abroad.
