A very special event took place at the Moravian Church in Happy Valley, Goose Bay over the weekend.
It was the Ordination Service for Beatrice Hope.
Julius Ikkusek, was invited from Nain on behalf of the Nain Elders.
He says the Moravian Church there was packed with people.
He says he is very happy for the Ordination of Beatrice, because for a very long time the North Coast Communities has not had an Ordained Minister.
Ikkusek adds because we do have Layministers in our towns and or Chapel Servants to hold services in our Churches, this is something which will be a big help for them.
He mentioned that he very thankful for Labradors first Inuk Women to be Ordained.
