Nunatsiavut Beneficiaries Heading Back to the Polls Next Week

Nunatsiavut beneficiaries return to the polls on June 11 in round two of the Presidential Election.

Johannes Lampe and Sarah Leo have been on the campaign trail for over two months trying to win over your vote.

Here are the locations where you can vote for your candidate of choice on Monday.

Nain voters can head to the Fire Hall.

Beneficiaries in Hopedale can cast their vote at the council chambers.

The polling station in Postville will be located at the Recreation Hall.

Makkovik’s polling station will be at their Community Hall.

Rigolet beneficiaries can cast their vote at their Community Hall as well.

Beneficiaries in North West River can head to their Community Centre to take part in the voting process.

Happy Valley-Goose Bay’s polling station will be set up in the Labrador Friendship Centre’s multi-purpose room.

All polling stations are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The numbers for this past Monday’s advanced polls increased dramatically from the first round of advanced polls back in April.

It may indicate a higher turnout for Monday’s election.

The May 1 election saw a dramatic decrease from the 2008 Presidential Election.
