A special award presentation happened in Nain Tuesday.
Roderick Pilgrim was presented with the Queen’s Jubilee Award.
The award honours significant contributions and achievements by Canadians.
The presentation took place at the Nunatsiavut Government boardroom Tuesday at 4pm.
Randy Edmunds is the MHA for Torngat Mountains District.
He says he nominated Pilgrim for the award for his 40 years of service to his community.
Edmunds adds that this is in recognition of Pilgrim’s work with the Town Council, Recreation Department, Volunteer Fire Brigade and countless volunteer repair jobs for community residents.
