Nain AngajukKak Andersen On Future Plans (Audio)

The Nain Inuit Community Government projects are still a ways from getting going at this time of year.

The plans include finishing the final phase of the Trouser Lake reservoir project.

Tony Andersen is the AngajukKak.

He says there’s quite a bit of work to do yet, including constructing a pump house and a holding tank on the hill, with adjustments to be done around town.

Andersen says they have a budget for 10- 15 new lots in the new subdivision.

They are still trying to find more funds for the new multi- purpose center.

The upstairs of the Husky Center is still closed to the after school program, where more work is required for the safety of the children.

Andersen says the power outages that have been occurring for the past month have been a big concern for everyone.

Another issue in town is a water break that occurred last week when a 6 inch line had broken.
