Guy Lafleur Honored With Emotional Ceremony at Bell Centre.
It was the second longest standing ovation in Montreal Canadians History as the teams, fans and city honored the Great Guy Lafleur, who died on Friday.
Fans cheered for 10 minutes and 10 seconds prior to the Boston Bruins game on Saturday at the Bell Centre. One of those attendants was Noah Sheppard attending his third game at the facility.
He said the atmosphere was electric and that there wasn’t any dry eyes in the house by the time sat down. Boston won the game, but Noah said that was immaterial to most.
Normally, people are walking right up until puck drops, but Saturday nights seats was filled a half hour before game time.
