Noah Nochasak is still riding high after harvesting the first polar bear of the 2012 season.
The young man made use of one of the 12 licenses available to Nunatsiavut beneficiaries this year.
Nochasak says he harvested his bear near Marshall Island, east of Nain.
He says the animal was huge and weighed around 1, 100 pounds.
It measured around eight feet and eight inches.
