Over the weekend, girls of the Jens Haven Memorial School Huskies went to Lethbridge to compete in the 3A Girls’ provincial volleyball tournament.
We spoke with JHMS gym teacher, Jack Warren.
Warren says the girls did well. They won one and lost two games. The girls were put out by the team that won the third-place banner.
The Huskies Girls were the only team to take on the other teams in three sets.
The Huskies finished placing fifth out of nine schools.
Congratulations to Melody Lampe getting the Most Valuable Player medal and to Serenity Ivany getting the Most Sportsmanship medal.
Warren adds the boys will be heading to Gander, NL, on Thursday, December 7, to play in the 3A Boys Provincial Volleyball Tournament.
