The Kisigilinik Workshop held in Nain is going really well so far. Veronica Flowers, and Kim Pilgrim are the holders of this workshop.
Flowers says that this is the last week of the seal skin workshop. A couple people finished their kamiks, and the rest will finish soon.
They also had cool side workshops says Flowers. They had a seal skinning and gutting demonstrations with Nancy Ikkusek of Nain, and seal skin cleaning, and a framing workshop with Katie Winters of Nain.
They also cleaned two of their own seal skins, and they hope the skins will be good to use for future workshops.
Next summer thy are planning on running a similar kamik making workshop in Hopedale and Makkovik.
