COVID-19 have claimed 5 more lives within the province of NL.
The latest numbers are out today, the first update since Wednesday.
There are 34 people in the hospital because of the virus, 6 of whom are in critical care.
COVID cases are dropping. Other numbers show 79 new confirmed cases as of today, 109 on Sunday, 137 on Saturday and 176 on Friday.
Official numbers are based on tests and residents who choose to log their positive rapid teats online.
The bulk of hospitalizations are in the Eastern Health Region at 17, with 8 in Eastern Health, 8 in Western Health, 5 in Central Health and 4 in Labrador Grenfell Health.
Also, as of yesterday April 18th, there were 29 positive cases of COVID-19 in Voisey’s Bay.
There isn’t anyone in isolation at this moment.
And there is 28 people in modified isolation.
