A PhD Student from University of Toronto is looking for Inuttitut speakers who grew up in Labrador or who have family from Labrador to do interviews with her.
Ilia Nicoll is an alumni of MUN and the PhD students in Linguistics at the University of Toronto.
She is investigating how Inuttitut words are added together to form larger words or sentences in order to observe the variety of ways in which people speak their language.
She is looking for beneficiaries who are 20 years and older who come from Labrador to participate in a one hour long recorded interview.
If you agree to be recorded and to speak in Inuttitut you will get paid $30 an hour for each interview, paid in cash at the end of the interview.
Her goal is to learn more about Inuttitut grammar and participants will not be asked to share personal information or discuss triggering topics during the recorded interview.
The interviews will be for one hour starting March 1 to the 8th, 2019.
If you are interested and want to participate in her study please email her at: ilianicoll@gmail.com
