There is a Plastics Identification Workshop being held next week in the town of Makkovik.
Elizabeth Pijogge, Northern Researcher in Nain, Max Liboiron, Professor at Memorial University, and Alex Bond, Natural History Museum, along with the Nunatsiavut Government Plastics Team will hold this workshop.
On Tuesday, August 29th they will begin their Workshop in Makkovik, until Thursday, August 31.
They will be located at the Community Hall, August 29, 30, and 31, hours are from 9am-4pm, and on August 29 and 30 evening hours are from 5-7pm.
The purpose of this workshop is to look at samples they collected and analyze them together. They will discuss research methods, wild food, and respectfully working with animals on the land.
