Some residential school survivors in Newfoundland and Labrador may have already seen payments.
A representative from Crawford class action services says that some general compensation payments have been issued for those who have chosen to receive their payments by check.
All the checks have not been released and another portion of payments will be issued in two weeks time.
For the survivors who had requested for direct deposit, payments will be made within the next two weeks.
The first payments have been issued for time spent at residential schools.
A timeframe has not been set for payment for the victims of abuse while at residential school.
