Tina Tuner passed away at the age of 83, after battling a long illness.
She has been labeled the “Queen of Rock” and was known for her “larger than life” stage persona, with numerous smash hits, spanning six decades.
Some of her hits include “What’s Love Got To Do With It” and “Proud Mary” also “We Don’t Need Another Hero.”
Tina Turner went to St. John’s in 1985, as part of her North American tour, and played to a packed house at the old memorial stadium.
The funeral details for the late Tina Turner are yet to be announced.
