This year marks the eighth consecutive year that the Canadian Toy Association has partnered up with the Royal Canadian Air Force, RCMP for the Toys for the North.
The “Toys for the North” have many sponsors, donors and volunteers who contribute for this special cause.
Again this year the Toys for the North will be delivering Joy for Christmas this year to all the little children in Labrador.
Confirmed by the Nain RCMP, the presents arrived to Nain yesterday.
We spoke with Lisa Ivany who is the Nain Recreation Director.
She says Sunday December 22nd, 2019 the Nain Recreation Department will be holding an “Afternoon with Santa”.
Children between the ages of zero to 12 years of age will have a chance to go and see Santa Claus himself at the Jeremias Sillitt Community Center at 2pm.
Ivany adds that Santa Claus will be handing out presents and treats to the little children, then later a Movie will be played for the children titled “Santa Claus”.
