The Nain Transition House Inc. is holding a contest to name their new building located at 9 AlakKatik road.
Your submission must be accompanied by a letter or paragraph explaining why you believe that the name you have submitted would be suitable for the name of the building.
The deadline to submit a paragraph or letter is today, February 25 2019.
The name must support one of the following: It must reflect the vision of the Nain Transition house where all women with or without children live a life free from abuse,and or must be named after an object that symbolizes strength or the empowerment of women, and or must be named after a woman who is/was a great leader and is/was an advocate for women in our community, and/or must be named in memory of a female community member and or must be culturally relevant.
To be eligible to participate, you must be a resident of Nain
Names in both Inuktitut and English are accepted.
The tentative date and for the winner will be announced on March 25 and she/he will receive $250
