Trapline Marathon 2020 is going ahead virtually in Happy Valley-Goose Bay this year.
Shaun Maclean is the race director with the Trappers Running Club.
He says there is a total of 176 participants that are participating in the marathon.
The registration deadline closed last week, September 28th, with the marathon going on from Friday, October 9th to Monday, October 12th.
The age categories that can participate in the marathon are as follows: 12 years and under, 16 years and under, 20 to 29 years, 30 to 39 years, 40 to 49 years, and 50 to 59 years.
Participants have the option of running a full marathon, half a marathon, 10km run, 5km run, 5k run and other registrations with the fee of $30 each.
The participants can leave their house or go to a safe physical spot and run their course.
All pledges will be donating to the Special Olympics Team, the Howling Husky’s.
There are 6 participants in Makkovik, two participants in Nain and one participant in Rigolet in the Nunatsiavut region.
